Available as Daylight, Tungsten, Bi-Colour & Doppio in Flood and Spot!

creamsource The Creamsource Classic has 84 high power LEDs. Available in both Tungsten and Daylight colour temperatures, it has similar light output to a 575W HMI, but draws only 220W.
creamsource The Creamsource Doppio has 140 high power LEDs with double density spacing. Available in both Tungsten and Daylight colour temperatures, it has similar light output to a 800W HMI, but draws only 360W.
creamsource The Creamsource Bender is a bi-colour fixture, and the colour temperature can be smoothly adjusted from around 2700K to 6500K. With 140 high power LEDs, it has similar output to a 575W HMI (or a 800W HMI when running in the middle of the colour temperature range)

your choice of lens

Your Creamsource comes factory fitted with either Spot or Flood angle lenses

Spot lenses have a beam angle of around 10 degrees, creating a very punchy and long travelling beam. Great if you like to have the option of extra punch, while still having the ability to throw on one of our Micro-Lens panels to widen the beam Flood lenses have an angle of around 25 degrees, creating soft wrapping light which still has punch. Great if you want soft light straight out of the box

smart design.

While designing the Creamsource, we were constantly reminded of the need for a lighting system that was low weight, thin, and modular.

Integrated accessory slots

Twin accessory slots on the front of the unit allow for quick and easy addition of gels, diff usion or a soft box diff user. Keep frames loaded with the gels you use most often, and then just drop them in when required.

Low profile

Light weight low profile design allows rigging in places other fixtures simply will not fit.

Use less energy ... on lighting and on cooling

With over five times the efficiency of tungsten and 30% more than HMI alternatives, your energy bills will be slashed. Air conditioning load is also reduced thanks to low temperature operation, making the Creamsource one of the most economical to run professional lighting systems on the market.

Low temperature

Unique heat-sink design and heat management technology keep the unit running at finger friendly temperatures. This keeps the LEDs in their optimum operating conditions, and affords maximum LED life while maintaining a consistent and cool light output.

Cool light output means better comfort for operators, talent won’t melt or catch fire and your gels and filters will last longer.

Odd fact: LED light output increases as temperature drops - running the Creamsource in below-0 temperatures will give you more light

Battery operation – freedom from the grid

With the ability to run directly from DC power, you can now go unplugged without a noisy generator or bulky inverter to slow you down.

Get over one hour operation from a modest sized battery pack, or even longer with Ni-MH or Li-Ion technologies.

Smart battery monitoring will warn you when the batteries are getting low, and built in polarity protection safeguards your Creamsource (and your shoot) against incorrect wiring.

Auto-ranging power supply

The slimline auto-ranging power supply allows connection of the Creamsource to a variety of AC supplies worldwide.

The DC output connects to the Creamsource with high quality ruggedised connectors.

No toxic chemicals. No waste. No compromise.

At Outsight we take care to minimize our impact on the environment. The Creamsource is free of lead, mercury and other toxic pollutants – and with no bulb changes required for the life of the unit, you now have a compelling alternative without compromising on performance or features.

one light. many applications.

creamsource

Andrew Lesnie ACS, ASC
“It is small, lightweight soft-light which runs on very little power and has a terrifi cally high daylight output. I’m not sure we could have achieved the results we did without this light source.”

As Quoted in the June 2009 ACS magazine, when talking about his use of the Creamsource in the Film “Bran Nue Dae”

Andrew Lesnie’s D.O.P. Credits include films such as Babe, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, King Kong and I am Legend.
